SOLVIT AFRICA Launches Hackathon Bootcamp to Support Young Innovators

Young innovators at SOLVIT AFRICA have officially begun their journey toward building impactful solutions through a new Hackathon Bootcamp organized under the Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) Program.

The initiative, supported by Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, aims to help young people turn their digital skills into practical business ideas that can create jobs and sustainable income opportunities.

Building Solutions Beyond Ideas

The Hackathon Bootcamp was officially launched this week, bringing together participants eager to solve real-world challenges through technology and innovation.

According to SOLVIT AFRICA, the program is focused on more than just creating ideas. Participants are being guided to think like entrepreneurs by identifying everyday problems and designing solutions with long-term impact.

Professional mentors are working closely with the innovators throughout the Bootcamp, helping them strengthen their problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity skills.

Preparing for the Hackathon Finale

One of the key areas of the Bootcamp is business mindset coaching. Participants are learning how to shape their ideas into viable projects and confidently present them during the Hackathon Finale.

The training also exposes young innovators to practical knowledge about innovation, pitching, and building market-ready solutions. This approach is expected to help participants better understand how technology can be used to address community and business challenges.
