How A2SV is Building Rwanda’s Next Generation of Tech Talent

A2SV (Africa to Silicon Valley) is a non-profit tech academy that is changing how young Africans learn software engineering. Its mission is to train talented university students across Africa, equipping them with practical coding skills, mentorship, and exposure to global tech opportunities. Hands-On Training at AUCA

At AUCA, A2SV offers a rigorous, hands-on curriculum covering coding, algorithms, software development, and project-based learning. This approach complements traditional university education by preparing students for real-world tech roles. The first cohort of students officially started in late 2025, gaining access to mentorship, collaborative projects, and career pathways in both local and global tech ecosystems.

By training students directly in Rwanda, A2SV is helping build a pipeline of skilled engineers who can meet the growing demand for tech talent in the country and across Africa.

Preparing for UR: Selection Underway

Following the success at AUCA, A2SV is now conducting interviews for the first UR cohort, set to begin training later soon. This expansion will give even more Rwandan students access to high-quality, globally recognized tech education without leaving the country.
