SheCanCODE Opens Applications for August 2026 Bootcamp to Train Young Women in Software Development

SheCanCODE has opened applications for its August 2026 Bootcamp, a free four-month training programme designed to equip young women with advanced software development skills and improve their access to employment opportunities in the technology sector.

Delivered under the Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) programme, the bootcamp focuses on Advanced Backend Development and Advanced Frontend Development, combining intensive technical training with career support to prepare participants for professional software engineering roles.

The SheCanCODE Bootcamp is part of ongoing efforts to increase women's participation in the technology industry by providing practical, industry-relevant digital skills. As demand for skilled software developers continues to grow, initiatives that promote inclusive technology education are helping bridge the gender gap in the digital workforce.

Beyond technical instruction, the programme aims to prepare participants for long-term careers by combining software development training with employability support.

What Participants Will Receive

The programme is delivered with support from the Digital Skills for Employability (DSE) initiative in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT).

Eligibility and Application

The bootcamp is open to young women who are alumnae or final-year students, as well as refugees and persons with disabilities who have foundational knowledge of at least one programming language and are ready to commit to the full programme.
