Kigali is the last week hosted the Adventist Technology Summit (ATS Africa 2026), a five-day gathering focused on how organisations can use digital tools and technology strategy to create wider impact. The summit, held from 26–30 January at the Adventist University of Central Africa, brought together technology leaders, IT managers, software specialists and digital media experts from different parts of the world.
Although organised by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, the event went beyond religion. Discussions mainly focused on practical technology areas that many institutions and businesses are currently working on, including:
- Digital transformation strategies
- Cybersecurity and data protection
- Data governance and information management
- Software systems and platform development
