The Gym Rwanda Opens Applications for Non-Technical Digital Business Trainee Cohort

Young professionals in Rwanda looking to build careers in the digital economy now have a new opportunity. The Gym Rwanda has announced applications for its new Non-Technical Trainee Cohort aimed at preparing participants for careers in digital businesses.

The six-month program focuses on practical, AI-first training and is designed for people interested in business-related roles within technology companies, even without a technical background.

Training Areas Available

The program will recruit trainees across several specializations, including:

  • Finance & Accounting

  • Operations & Project Management

  • Social Media, Marketing & Communication

  • Design

  • Product Owner roles

According to the announcement, trainees will receive intensive full-time training while working on practical projects and learning how modern digital businesses operate.

Monthly Stipend and Employment Opportunity

Selected trainees will receive a monthly stipend of up to 300,000 Frw during the training period. The program also offers a possibility of employment after completion, depending on performance and company needs.

The growing use of AI tools in businesses has increased demand for professionals who can combine communication, operations, creativity, and business management skills with digital knowledge. Kigali’s Digital Talent Pipeline Continues to Grow

Over the past few years, Rwanda has seen a rise in innovation hubs, startup accelerators, and digital training programs focused on preparing young people for technology-driven careers. While many initiatives focus on software engineering, The Gym’s latest cohort highlights the growing importance of non-technical roles in the tech ecosystem.

The training will take place at The Gym’s offices in Nyarutarama, Kigali.

Applications are open until 24 May 2026.
