Greenalytic Introduces Mobika Platform for Vehicle Management in Rwanda

Greenalytic Introduces Mobika Platform for Vehicle Management in Rwanda

AI Quick Summary

Kigali-based cleantech company Greenalytic Motors Ltd, founded in 2022, has launched Mobika, an all-in-one platform aimed at assisting vehicle owners, fleet operators, and financial partners. The platform is designed to facilitate vehicle tracking, ensure regulatory compliance, and help build a reliable record of operations.

Known for its emissions monitoring and electric cargo tricycles, Greenalytic describes Mobika as an intelligent mobility management and compliance tool. It is now offered alongside the company's existing electric vehicle products.

Streamlining Daily Operations

Mobika seeks to replace the manual processes often used by transport operators, such as spreadsheets and separate GPS devices. Its fleet management features include real-time GPS tracking, trip history, geofencing, and speed monitoring. The platform also provides alerts for unauthorized vehicle use and remote immobilization capabilities on compatible vehicles, where authorized.

Operators can manage driver profiles, assignments, and ownership records through a single dashboard. For compliance, Mobika tracks insurance, inspections, permits, traffic fines, and taxes, sending reminders to help operators avoid penalties and operational downtime.

Mobika Pricing: Installation costs are 80,000 RWF for cars and 60,000 RWF for motorcycles. Monthly monitoring fees are 10,000 RWF for cars and 5,000 RWF for motorcycles.

Enabling Financial Records

Beyond operational management, Mobika facilitates the tracking of driver remittances, lease payments, loan repayments, and overdue balances. The company highlights that many transport operators, despite daily earnings, often lack structured financial records.

Mobika suggests that, with customer consent and appropriate partnerships, a consolidated history of payments and compliance could help financial institutions assess operators for vehicle financing, insurance, and working capital. The platform is not intended to replace traditional financial services.

Team and Vision

The Mobika platform is led by Greenalytic CEO and founder Emmanuel Tuyizere, with embedded systems engineer Eric Ndayambaje overseeing technical development. It is also supported by institutions including NCST, BRD, CMU Africa, Hanga Pitchfest, the Ministry of ICT and Innovation, and the Rwanda ICT Chamber.

Starting its operations in Kigali, Greenalytic's vision for Mobika is to contribute to an Africa where every commercial vehicle can operate safely, maintain compliance, and establish a trusted digital history of its operations and finances.
