
Technology Policy and Governance
The Rwanda Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) is a partnership between the Rwandan government and the World Economic Forum, established in 2020 to promote emerging technologies in Africa. It focuses on AI, machine learning, and data governance to shape technology governance frameworks and drive innovation for social and economic benefit. C4IR Rwanda co-designs and implements policy and governance protocols to maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of advanced technologies, such as in AI-driven healthcare and precision agriculture.
